Greetings all!
With a lot of thought, and a lot of encouragement from a friend (you know who you are), I have decided to dip my toe into the world of blogging. We shall see how it goes. I'm not like Madonna, ready to jump into new experiences. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPqOVdDUqL4
I like to take things slow and ease into new experiences. So here goes...
First topic of discussion: laundry
I heard a report on the news Friday that many energy conscious people have gone back to the world of drying their clothes on the line in their back yard. I remember how the clothes always smelled so sweet and fresh after drying on the line. The only problems were when our dog, Beau, decided to tear them down or when the weather was bad. We didn't even have an electric dryer when I was little, so in bad weather we had a wooden rack that we put by the floor heater. We learned to put Beau on a tether or bring him inside when clothes were drying outside.
Now for the villians of the story: Some Homeowners' Associations are not allowing residents to dry clothes on the line because they are "unsightly" in their opinion. Get a life and stop staring at other people's laundry, for Heaven's sake!
Well, I'll close my first venture with a quote from Bert Balladine that I love:
"You haven't got anything to dance about until you're over thirty-five anyway."
